Thanks for stopping by...and Welcome to all things Doug Swindell..., well not all things, but most. Like Barb always tells me, "You'll never read the last chapter of my book!" It's not that I have anything to hide, but some things are just better left unsaid.

Be sure and check out the music, press reviews and links, photos of family, friends and favorite pastimes, and you can check out my day job...Barb and I own a custom plastics fab and sign shop, and let's just say we've designed and built a lot of interesting things over the years. Be sure to sign the guestbook and you'll be automatically entered in to a drawing to go on our Christmas card list, which we never send out.

Well folks, it's finally here, the lastest release from Halfass records, Big Blue Sky, my first original cd. Actually it's the only release from Halfass records, a label that was the brainchild of one of our dogs, Murph, but he rarely follows through with anything, he's just the idea guy, and it took me years to get 10 tunes together, so the name seems fitting. You know.....you have that list of things you always wanted to do, and a solo cd has been one of those things for me, so thanks for indulging me. I've harbored a nagging need to be creative all my life, design and build stuff, do my own thing, even when it wasn't the best idea. I even tried re-inventing the wheel a couple of times, but it turns out the original really worked best.

Anyhow, give it a few listens, preferably loud after a few beers and maybe you'll find something that speaks to you. Sorry, you won't find me on spacebook or myface, that's no place for Halfass artists.
